Harry Finnigan, 65, dies

Columbus, OH — Harry James Finnigan, 65, a former owner, trainer, driver and brother of active trainer/driver Gary Finnigan, died Jan. 16, 2011, after a short illness.

Mr. Finnigan was a long time resident of Wall Township, N.J. before retiring to Marco Island, Fla.

He raced mostly at Freehold Raceway in the late 1970s and early 1980s, campaigning many of the Ardena horses. Most notable were Ardena Flame and Ardena Andy.

Mr. Finnigan is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Colleen and Kerry; son, James; and brother, Gary.

A funeral memorial mass will be held on Feb. 13.
