Billy Haughton Jr. and Freddie Hudson, co-authors of the book Roosevelt Raceway Where It All Began, are currently writing a new book about Yonkers Raceway. The book is being presented to the mainline publishers with a projected release date of early 2016.

Hudson stated that he is very excited about the new book and he expects it to be an Amazon best-seller as was the Roosevelt Raceway book in which Victoria Howard was also a co-author.

Adding flavor to the book about Yonkers are some great stories including Billy’s dad behind the gate being informed by the starter that his wife Dotti had just given birth to his first son, the co-author.

The Haughton and Hudson connection goes back many years with both of them knowing one another since childhood. On the night of Sept. 26, 1956, the senior Haughton and Hudson dead-heated at Yonkers with Haughton driving Counsel Pick and Hudson driving Coast Line.
