Columbus, OH — Yonkers Raceway’s Director of Racing Cammie Haughton has been named as a U.S. Trotting Association director for District 8A replacing Yonkers’ Vice President and COO Robert Galterio, who resigned after serving 30 years on the USTA Board of Directors.

Cammie Haughton has been named as a U.S. Trotting Association director for District 8A.

Haughton was named by Timothy Rooney, president of Yonkers Raceway, on May 4 and will serve out the remainder of Galterio’s term that expires in 2021.

Prior to being named as Yonkers’ Director of Racing in November 2017, Haughton had served as the Raceway’s racing consultant.

He is a former presiding judge at both the Meadowlands and Yonkers.

The son of Hall of Famer Billy Haughton also worked as assistant race secretary at Saratoga Raceway after a career in training and driving.
