Henry The Dragon favorite in $100,000 DSBF frosh colt final

Dover, DE — After two preliminary legs the DelawareStandardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) $100,000 freshmen colt and gelding pace headsthe Thursday, Nov. 17 program at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

After five straight impressive victories, Henry The Dragon,with driver Montrell Teague, is the one to beat in a field of eight whoqualified for the second $100,000 of the year. Already, an easy winner ofHarrington Raceway’s October finale for owner George Teague, Henry The Dragondrew post six.

Tina and Brian Clark’s Automatic Dragon, handled by VicKirby who has recorded two wins, two seconds in his five lifetime starts,leaves from the rail with Apple Heir and Jason Green, a winner of two of hislast four outings, alongside for Willard Hall and trainer Brian Wright. Threeother starters have victories in their last starts, Jason Skinner and OnlyMoney Inc.’s Bags To Riches was a wire-to-wire 1:53 winner last week and willbe driven by Tim Tetrick. George Teague’s other home-breds, Daylen with JimMorand and Stay In Your Place, racing for Teague and K&R Racing, who ownedand raced the great female pacer Rainbow Blue, won his prelim in 1:53.4 butmust come from outside post eight with Kevin Switzer Jr. in the bike.

Other fast starters include the speedy James Isaac with TonyMorgan and Dorothy Hock and Katherine Ricci’s Hallie’s Comet piloted by RossWolfenden who completes the field for $100,000 DSBF final.

Wake Up And Go, racing for Charles Winbrow and Jimmy Lunn(Corey Callahan), George Teague and Teague Racing Partnership’s Rat Tail(Montrell Teague) and breeder, owner and trainer Virginia Louthan’s Suspinder(Allan Davis) lead the $20,000 DSBF consolation.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are dark days at DoverDowns. Weekdays – Monday through Thursday – racing begins at 4:30 p.m.
