Mississauga, ON — Saving her best performance for last, Her Name Is Lola was flawless in capturing the $35,520 final of the Lifetime Dream Trotting Series on Monday night (March 23) at Woodbine Racetrack.

Her Name Is Lola was a 1:55.3 winner in the Lifetime Dream final.

Driver Jack Moiseyev settled the public’s second choice into fifth in the early going on the back of favored Seawind Pascale (Rick Zeron). Samira Hanover (Paul MacDonell) charged out from the outside of the gate to take early command and carve out fractions of :27, :56.1 and 1:25.3.

Moiseyev and Her Name Is Lola were out from the rail on the backstretch just past the half, forcing Zeron to start a first over bid with Seawind Pascale. That move towed Her Name Is Lola right up into the mix within two lengths of the pacesetter as the field turned for home.

Zeron ducked back in with Seawind Pascale to save ground around the final turn, but that daylight was all that Her Name Is Lola needed to see as once they straightened out she accelerated away from the field.

Zeron angled Seawind Pascale back out for another rally but it was a futile attempt to catch the leader. Her Name Is Lola and Moiseyev hit the wire more than two lengths to the good in 1:55.3, with Seawind Pascale in second and Samira Hanover just holding off Meadowview Vicky (Mario Baillargeon) for show.

The win was the first in six seasonal starts and eighth lifetime for Her Name Is Lola (Majestic Son-Armbro Stunning), trained by Russell Bax and co-owned by Bax under his Baxmar Holsteins of Port Hope, Ont.

Her Name Is Lola finished fifth and second in the first two legs of the trotting series for 4- and 5-year-old trotting mares that were non-winners of C$200,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2014.

Once again, the Jackpot Hi-5 pool continued to build after going unclaimed by just one ticket on Monday night. The carryover pool heading into Thursday night’s card of harness racing sits at $726,120.53.
