He’s A Beachboy won the quarter-mile dash in a time of :27.

The 5-year-old son of Jenna’s Beach Boy-Angela’s Goldie, trained and driven by Dale Loney, quickly cleared the field of five from post position four and went on to win by 1-3/4 lengths.

Thunder Ridge Race Secretary Billy Perkins is no stranger to world records, as he wrote the 11/16th-mile world record at Hawthorne Racecourse in 2004.

“Both times I was looking through the record book and wanted to have a race that would be entertaining and generate some excitement,” Perkins said.

Owned by Amy Loney, He’s A Beachboy now heads to Paducah, Ky., for the upcoming Bluegrass Downs meet that runs from June 10-July 10.
