HHA of CNY annonces scholarship winners

Vernon, NY — The Harness Horse Association of Central New York is proud to announce the 2015-2016 scholarship winners.
The $5,000 scholarship was awarded to Myra Hoke, daughter of Joseph and Theresa Appler of Utica, N.Y. Myra is a student at Keuka College majoring in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. Her plans include pursuing her Masters Degree in Military Clinical Social Work.
Jonathan Hallett, son of John and Michelle Hallett of Margate, Fla., was awarded $2,500. Jonathan is an honors graduate of Deerfield Beach High School. He will be attending the University of Central Florida majoring in Bio-Chemistry and Pre Med.
David Mondrick was awarded a $1,500 scholarship. He is the son of John and Lynn Mondrick, Durhamville, N.Y. David is pursuing a degree in Renewable Energy at the State University of NY at Morrisville.
Scholarships are based on financial need, essay, community service and grades. A total of $9,000 is available to three students whose parents/guardians are members of this Association.
