HHYF seeks stables willing to prep HRYL horses

from the Harness Horse Youth Foundation

Westfield, IN — The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is seeking trainers and/or stables willing to prep the Trottingbreds for the Harness Racing Youth League camp program.

Trainers or stables would be expected to jog or exercise the horse on a daily basis to build stamina for the intensive summer schedule (preferably around 200 miles by mid-June). No actual training would be required. Trainer would be responsible for all care, feed, hay, bedding, and shoeing. Upon request, gifts-in-kind receipts for services would be issued.

Approximate arrival date of the Trottingbreds is late April and horses would be returned to HHYF by June 15. Each horse will be accompanied by written documentation of complete vaccination schedule and shots as well as harness and hopples.

Anyone interested in assisting the HHYF with this important part of the HRYL program should contact the office as soon as possible.

Established in 1976, the Harness Horse Youth Foundation addresses youth education throughout the United States and Canada.
