Dayton, OH — Hollywood Dayton Raceway is in need of a paddock blacksmith for the upcoming September through December race meet.

The successful candidate must be available in the paddock, or designate a suitable replacement on occasional nights off, for all 75 racing programs from Sept. 14 through Dec. 30. Normal race nights are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with 6:35 p.m. post times.

Primary duty is to tack on a few loose shoes each evening which have become unsecure during shipping to the track or while warming up for a race. Trainers with small stables but extensive shoeing experience may be considered.
