Anderson, IN — With the heavy betting favorite finishing off the ticket in Thursday’s Hoosier High-5 wager, a $7,947.05 carryover will kick-start the Hoosier High-5 pool on the 14-race card at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Friday (Sept. 29).

The Hoosier High-5, also known as the pentafecta, is featured in the last race of every program at Hoosier Park and features a reduced takeout of 12 percent.

The Hoosier High-5 was approved and added to the wagering menu at the beginning of the 2016 harness racing season and has been well received by the betting public. The Hoosier High-5 is responsible for the season’s biggest payout to date in 2017 with a $23,540.26 winning ticket paid out in early May.

Friday’s 14-race card will feature the final round of Indiana Sires Stakes elimination action for the 2-year-old divisions.

With a daily post time of 6:30 p.m., live racing at Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and be conducted through Nov. 17. The 24th season of live harness racing is highlighted by the 34th edition of the Breeders Crown, harness racing’s championship event valued at $6 million, on Friday (Oct. 27) and Saturday (Oct. 28).
