Horse bound for Meadowlands euthanized after accident

Columbus, OH — A story on nj.com reports that a horse bound for Meadowlands Racetrack on Friday was euthanized after the trailer carrying it and another horse overturned on Route 80.

The story identifies the horse that was euthanized as Hay Beautiful, whio was slated to start in the seventh race on Friday night. Hay Beautiful, a 6-year-old pacing mare, was trained by Gregory White and owned by Lewis Whitaker and William Schopf.
