Horsemen urged to check snaffle bits

Streetsboro, OH — It has recently come to our attention that there have been reported cases of snaffle bits that have broken while in use. At this time the origin of the bits has not been determined. They appear to be bits that are two-three years old.
We are urging everyone to please check you bits immediately. If you have a bit that has “play” between the mouthpiece and the cheeks please discontinue use immediately.
