Huntsville makes move in this week’s Poll

Freehold, NJ — Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace elimination winner Huntsville caused the only shift in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Top 10, moving from No. 6 to No. 4 in the rankings and pushing idle trotters Ariana G and Crazy Wow each down one notch.

The top three remained unchanged, with Fear The Dragon in the No. 1 spot followed by Lady Shadow and Hannelore Hanover.

Graduate Series trot champion Marion Marauder joined the Top 10 at No. 10.

Returning Dan Patch Award winner Walner, who made his seasonal debut last Saturday with a 1:51.1 victory in a conditioned race, just missed cracking the Top 10, ended up tied with Devious Man at No. 11.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The U.S. Harness Writers Association votes in December on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
