Hurricane Beach tops Summer Mixed Sale

East Rutherford, NJ — On Sunday (July 15) Tattersalls conducted their 2018 Summer Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands. Of the 214 horses that went through the ring, Hurricane Beach elicited the highest purchase price at $110,000.

Now the property of Allard Racing Stable, the 4-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere-Blazing Yankee has earned $79,343 during his career. During his sophomore campaign, Hurricane Beach captured a $51,000 division of the Somebeachsomewhere Stake at Woodbine Mohawk Park and was third in the $133,527 Simcoe Stake.

The other two horses to round out the top three, were T.J. Blast (Yankee Cruiser-She’s A Blast), who Richard Banca purchased for $100,000 and Cultural Paradise (American Ideal-Silk Canvas), who is now owned by Howard Ouriel for the high bid of $89,000.
