Berne, IN — I Can Only Imagine p,1:49.4 ($482,228) will arrive at Schwartz Boarding Farm in Berne, Ind., on Saturday (Jan. 23) to stand for the 2016 season.

The stud fee for the son of the Illinois stallion Cole Muffler and the Incredible Finale mare Incredashell is $2,000 with a discount offered for multiple mares. His first full group of 2-year-olds will set their hooves upon the track this year.

Champions Loyal Opposition, My Boy David, Glass Pack and Home Bed Advantage are also sired by Cole Muffler and I Can Only Imagine proved that genetic legacy remains intact as a stalwart, durable performer throughout his career. He was a consistent force within, as well as outside, the Prairie State. The stallion’s track record performance of 1:52 at Springfield, with his last quarter panel in :25.4, still stands after a decade. In addition, he blazed around the Balmoral Park oval in 1:51.4 to establish his sophomore speed standard.

Conditioned primarily by Tom Harmer, I Can Only Imagine, who stands at 16 hands, possesses a stellar pedigree. Cole Muffler is one of the most prolific stallions the state has ever produced on and off the track. In fact, he was the top rated pacer as a 3-year-old in the experimental rankings and was revered in the breeding shed at Cottonwood Farms.

Cole Muffler’s offspring collected $66,136,449 in purse money during his 16 years of service. He is responsible for 175 $100,000 winners, 366 horses that have paced in 1:55 or less, three millionaires, a Breeders Crown winner, multiple world champions, many Illinois Horses of the Year and dozens of stakes winners. He is a member of the IHHA Hall of Fame and was the top pacing stallion in the state on a record nine occasions. Just last year 57 horses he sired made $935,975.

While Cole Muffler’s excellence is duly noted, I Can Only Imagine is out of Incredashell, the 1992 Orange and Blue victress at age two. The mare earned $248,067 and has been just as exemplary as Cole Muffler in her second career as a broodmare. I Can Only Imagine is a half sibling to Broadway Bonanza (Broadway Express p,5,1:55.1–$131,930), Live Out Loud (Art’s Conquest p,4,1:49.4–$551,496), Big John C (Art’s Conquest p,3,1:52.3–$174,495) and Turn It Up Loud (Art’s Conquest p,5,1:53.2–$139,507). He is a full brother to Incredicole p,3,1:52.4 ($108,772), He’s Awfully Good p,4,1:53.4 ($177,752) and Allbecauseofthis p,1:51.1 ($173,934).

Of the 11 foals Incredashell produced eight were $100,000 winners. Only two of her offspring did not triumph at the track and her first foal perished before she could make it to the races.

Both Cole Muffler and Incredashell displayed precocity during their freshman campaigns and are noted for passing that characteristic to their foals. I Can Only Imagine will certainly continue the family tradition and follow in their hoof prints.
