I Did It Myway dominant in Dover feature

Dover, DE — I Did It Myway ($2.10) was a wire-to-wire winner in Thursday’s (Nov. 30) $27,500 Blue Hen/Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover.

I Did It Myway and driver Tim Tetrick blasted off the wings of the starting gate but were strung out through a :26.2 quarter by Penzance Hanover, who opted for a pocket journey behind the 1-9 favorite. As I Did It Myway rung up middle fractions of :54.2 and 1:22.2, Stag Party moved first-over up the backstretch and Mack angled second-over, however those bids proved futile. I Did It Myway accelerated in the stretch and won in hand by two lengths in 1:49.4. Penzance Hanover, a previous Horse of the Meet at Bally’s Dover, finished second; Captain Cowboy was third.
