I Like My Boss breaks through at Harrington

Harrington, DE — I Like My Boss ($15.40, Allan Davis) notched his first win of the season in the $17,500 Open Trot Wednesday (May 2) at Harrington Raceway.

The Bob Shahan trainee has been second five times in 2018, but earned his 37th career win for owners Shahan, Jimmy Parsons and Ashley Parsons.

Murmur Hanover assumed the early lead from Gillie The Kid at the first quarter in :27.2. Murmur Hanover then led the field to the half-mile in :57.1 before a fierce first-over challenge from I Like My Boss, who took the field to three-quarters in 1:26. I Like My Boss held off Murmur Hanover in the stretch for a narrow win. Lucky Ten K was third.

Trainer Jay Gannon and driver Victor Kirby teamed up for two wins on the card and nearly scored the hat trick with Murmur Hanover. Kirby had four driving wins on the card, including three in succession from races three through five.

Russell Foster had a driving triple.
