Idylle Speed ended Izoard Vedaquais winning streak

Paris, France – Unbeaten in 12 lifetime starts Izoard Vedaquais with Eric Raffin went to post in the Criterium des three Ans at Vincennes as the favorite but had to settle for second.

The outsider, Idylle Speed with Jean Michel Bazire finished strong on the outside to beat the favorite to second.
Idylle Speed won the 1 11/16-mile event in a new race record of 1.56.1 (mile rate) – the old record from 2010 held by Timoko was 1.56.4.

Idylle Speed trained by F. P. Bossuet is from the first crop of French trotting star, Carat Williams – he by Prodigious.
The purse for the winner was 90.000 Euro or 102.000 dollars.

This was the third win for Jean Michel Bazire in the Criterium des three Ans as a driver and a first for trainer F. P. Bossuet, who runs a small stable with just eight trotters.
