Delaware, OH — Canadian filly Idyllic, the 9-5 favorite in her elimination for the $292,350 Jugette 3-year-old filly pace, earned her place in harness racing lore when she ended See You At Peelers’ 22-race winning streak on August 29 at The Meadows. The Casie Coleman trained Idyllic captured the $193,150 Nadia Lobell that day in a career best 1:50. See You At Peelers finished sixth.
The Jugette, which drew 11 starters, will be raced in two eliminations on Wednesday (September 21) at the Delaware County Fair.
Idyllic, second to See You At Peelers in the 2010 voting for 2-year-old filly champion, has had plenty of other big moments during her career. In two seasons, she has 11 victories, career winnings of $1,160,962, and victories as a 2-year-old in the $501,000 Three Diamonds and $660,480 She’s A Great Lady. She also finished third in last year’s $600,000 Breeders Crown final.
David Miller will drive the daughter of American Ideal-Magical Dreamer from post four in the first elimination of the 41st Jugette. There will be two $58,470 eliminations with the top four finishers returning for the $175,410 final.
Myluvmylife, at odds of 3-1, could also loom big in the first elimination off her second place finish in the Nadia Lobell. Trained by Ron Burke, the Rocknroll Hanover-Dreamlands Hardie filly has $362,062 in career winnings. She will be driven by Brian Sears.
Strike An Attitude, a multiple Pennsylvania Sire Stakes winner, is the 2-1 favorite in the second elimination and Pretty Katherine is second at odds of 5-2.
Strike An Attitude (Western Hanover-Strike A Balance) comes into the Jugette with $724,920 in career earnings. She is trained by Robert McIntosh and will be driven by Dave Palone.
Pretty Katherine (Rocknroll Hanover-Fox Valley Shaker) is a stablemate of Idyllic trained by Casie Coleman and will be driven by George Brennan.
