Altamont, IL — President Mary Lou Wright has announced the Illinois Big Ten Colt Stakes Association will hold an awards banquet Friday (Nov. 3), with 2017 season’s point champions to be crowned and fastest divisional miles to be recognized.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with ceremony to follow. Longtime Big Ten official Tom Shinn will serve as emcee. A season to the Illinois stallion Major Bombay will be auctioned, with proceeds to help defray costs of future Big Ten functions.

The banquet will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Parish Hall at 203 E. Division in Altamont. Tickets may be purchased for $10 at the door. The public is invited to attend.

Member fairs of the Big Ten include Newton, Farmer City, Paris, Altamont, and Pana.
