Illinois gaming bill passes House Executive Committee

Tucson, AZ — In Illinois, the House Executive Committee on Wednesday (Jan. 5) passed by a vote of 8-3, the huge gaming expansion bill that includes slots at the state’s tracks.
It cleared that hurdle easily, but still faces a vote in the full House and approval by a doubting governor, Pat Quinn.

That’s when the Jan. 3-11 “lame duck” session of the legislature begins, and the Illinois House will approve or disapprove of the gaming expansion bill already passed by the Senate.
