i’m Feelin Good wins third straight at Meadows

by Evan Pattak for The Meadows

Washington, PA — I’m Feelin Good wore down the leader, Visible Gold, with a relentless first-over bid and captured his third straight in Wednesday’s (Jan 7) $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Visible Gold cut out a moderate 58.4 first half but couldn’t withstand the pressure from I’m Feelin Good, who scored by 3/4 lengths in 1:54.4 and relegated Visible Gold to his fifth consecutive place finish. Dew N Doughnuts was third.

Tony Hall drove the 7-year-old Mr Feelgood-I’m-The-Goto-Girl gelding, who now boasts $516,454 in career earnings, for trainer Ashley Hall and owner Larry Fischer. Hall piloted four winners and Mike Wilder three on the 15-race card.
