Indeed A Dream tops Buckeye Classic Yearling Sale

Columbus, OH — On Tuesday (Sept. 25) Indeed A Dream was exactly that for her breeders when the daughter of Uncle Peter-Iam Spikes Wish brought the sum of $33,000 at the 2018 Buckeye Classic Yearling Sale in Springfield, Ohio.

Consigned by Trotting Traditions LLC, Indeed A Dream was purchased by Jim Arledge Jr. as agent and demonstrates the popularity of her sire in the Buckeye State, as the 9-year-old world champion was also responsible for Tu Eres Mi Corazon and Corazon, the highest priced yearlings of the 2017 and 2018 Ohio Selected Jug Sales.

Uncle Peter, who stands at Hickory Lane Farm for a $6,000 stud fee, is also the sire of last year’s second most expensive trotter, Get Back Jack, at this very same venue.

Catalogued as Hip No. 54, Indeed A Dream is the second foal from her dam and a half sibling to In My Dreams (Winning Fireworks, $115,515), a competitive horse on the Ohio circuit. The filly was bred by Daniel and Wayne Schlabach.

The filly’s granddam, Years Gone By (Royal Strength, $13,179) foaled Early Miss Molly (Earl, $118,897), Its A Fact Jack (Yentls Image, $427,764) and Strikinresemblance (Striking Sahbra, $103,645).
