Independence Day celebration at Bluegrass Downs

Paducah, KY — Bluegrass Downs will celebrate Independence Day with Dollar Day on Saturday (July 2). The track will have special food offerings, exciting races and patriotic celebrations.

The track will offer one dollar hot dogs, soda, beer and chips. Live racing programs will be one dollar and admission will be free. Each race will be named in honor of a local hero or carry a patriotic theme. The track will be decorated to honor our independence and special music will be provided.

The track will offer a paddock demonstration at 4 p.m., where a horseman will explain the different types of equipment and harness racing in general. At 4:15 p.m. in the lower grandstand, track announcer Kirby Grimes will offer a free handicapping seminar to explain the basics of wagering.

Families are invited to attend and take advantage of exciting harness racing. First post is 5 p.m. and dollar day will be from 4-7 p.m.

Bluegrass Downs is located off of Park Avenue behind Bluegrass Honda.
