Indiana Horse Racing Commission seeks harness racing judge

Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Horse Racing Commission is seeking a harness racing judge to work our upcoming race meet in 2022. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist in the enforcement of the Commission’s regulations at Indiana’s harness racetrack (Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino — Anderson).

To qualify for appointment as a harness race official in Indiana, the successful candidate must be either accredited as a harness racing official by the Racing Officials Accreditation Program administered by the Universities of Arizona and Louisville or licensed as a judge by the United States Trotting Association. Attendance of annual continuing education classes are required.

Past experience as a judge is preferred. Individuals must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays during the racing season (late March–mid December). Position is contractual with a daily per diem rate of $350 per race date.
