Indiana Standardbred Hall seeks nominations

Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame is seeking applications for nominees to be inducted for the year 2008.

Anyone wishing to nominate an individual or horse for induction should remember that they must meet the following requirements:

People
Should have contributed significantly to Indiana harness racing as a breeder, owner, trainer, or driver and/or through organizational leadership; or s
hould have achieved national prominence in one of the foregoing categories and have significant Indiana attachments.

Horses
Should have achieved prominence in racing or reproduction and should have done so (in part, at least) in Indiana or should have been foaled in Indiana; or should
have been outstanding in racing or breeding and whose breeders*, owners*, or trainers* are/were residents of Indiana. (*at least 50 percent in partnership situations).

Nominee applications are available on the Hall of Fame Web site at www.ishof.net and must be submitted to the Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame by August 1, 2008. Please remember to thoroughly complete the application. Applications may be returned to any Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame member or to Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 1054, Shelbyville, Indiana.
