Innisfallen rises, repeats at Harrah’s Philadelphia

Chester, PA — Innisfallen stepped up the class ladder and won for the third time in his last four starts, posting a 1:55 triumph in the $13,600 trotting feature on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 8) at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

Vinny Ginsburg hustled Innisfallen past MacMorris Hanover early to control splits of :29.1, :57.4, and 1:25.3. Favorite Molto Bene rallied late, but Innisfallen remained strong to prevail by a half length. Trainer Paul Fusco co-owns the Explosive Matter gelding with Brandeo Singh.

Hannah also notched a second consecutive win, overcoming post eight in the $12,800 sub-feature and winning in 1:55.4 without much trouble. George Brennan drove the sophomore Muscle Hill filly — who was second in the Buckette — for trainer Julie Miller and the partnership of the Andy Miller Stable, Dumain Haven Farm and Little E.

In an $11,600 event for upper-level trotters, Fashion Creditor rode the two-hole behind Rock Of Cashel before drawing away to defeat that rival by two lengths in 1:53. George Napolitano Jr. drove the Credit Winner gelding, who now has earned $700,555, for trainer Tom Fanning and owner Joseph Smith.

Simon Allard and Marcus Miller both had driving triples on the Thursday card.

Friday’s card features three $30,000 divisions of Liberty Bell stakes series action for 2-year-old colts and geldings on each gait.
