Nichols, NY — After more than four decades as a trainer, veteran Tioga Downs horseman Dan O’Mara may have finally found the big horse that all trainers dream of having in their barn.

O’Mara’s 2-year-old trotting filly True Day Dream is featured on a special Fourth of July episode of “Inside Harness Racing.”

The program airs Wednesday (July 4) at 6 p.m. and again at 10:30 p.m. on Time Warner Cable Sports throughout Upstate New York. The show can also be seen each week on HPI TV in Canada. Viewers can also watch every episode online at the Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs YouTube channel.

Owner Joe Hess and O’Mara purchased True Day Dream at the Delaware Sale for just $3,500.

“She lays down all day, doesn’t pull, she’s a nice horse to be around,” says O’Mara.

True Day Dream finished second last week in the Simpson Stakes at the Meadowlands and is entered in a division of the Reynolds this week at the Meadowlands.

Hambletonian hopeful Archangel tuned up for his appearance in Saturday’s Yonkers Trot with a qualifying win at Tioga Downs. His trainer, Peter Arrigenna, talks to “Inside Harness Racing” about taking on harness racing’s trotting superstar, Googoo Gaagaa.

Plus, Wendy Ross teaches new fans about blinkers and the latest episode of Harness Racing University explores the Pick-3 and Pick-4 wagers.
