Items needed for New Vocations fundraiser

by Dot Morgan, New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program

Laura, OH — New Vocations needs all kinds of items for its 11th annual Silent Auction, held in conjunction with the Blooded Horse Sale, on Feb. 9 and 10 in Delaware, Ohio. This sale attracts buyers from 28 states and throughout Canada.

The crowd appreciates New Vocations’ mission and is eager to buy, so all kinds of interesting, unique items are needed. Just about anything equine related is appropriate, i.e. framed prints, wall hangings, centerpieces, accessories, etc. Also, tack (pleasure or racing), sports memorabilia and tickets, veterinary services, entertainment cards, boxed gift items, jewelry, and crafts are all popular.

One vacation package is worth a lot of smaller items so if anyone can donate a timeshare or a week in their vacation home, it would be greatly appreciated.

“If everybody who truly cares about the welfare of retired racehorses sent one item, we’d have a tremendous fundraiser,” said Executive Director Dot Morgan.

For more information contact Dot Morgan at (937) 947-4020 or dot@horseadoption.com. Or simply send to New Vocations, 3293 Wright Rd., Laura, OH 45337. Items need to be in the office by Feb. 5 or delivered to the Delaware Co. Fairgrounds by Feb. 9.

Items and services are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
