Columbus, OH — Jack B. Landis, 84, died March 22, 2010.

His business achievements were numerous across a great many industries; some of his greatest achievements were as an early pioneer in the market research industry, creating techniques in the 1960s and 1970s that are still being used today.

He also conquered the Standardbred industry by scientifically analyzing breeding pedigrees which resulted in buying horses that won some of the sport’s most prestigious races. His Sunbird Stable campaigned such top horses as 1982 Kentucky Futurity winner Jazz Cosmos 3,1:55 ($701,568), Nearly Perfect 4,1:54 ($630,327) and Why Not 4,1:56.4 ($823,108).
