Jack’s Legend N makes it three in a row at Dover

Dover, DE — Jack’s Legend N steamrolled to victory in the $25,000 Open Handicap Pace at Dover Downs on Thursday night (Dec. 16).

Dexter Dunn chose to ease Jack’s Legend N off the gate and settled into sixth position while Shoobee Doo A and No Lou Zing battled through a :26.1 opening quarter. Corey Callahan and Shoobee Doo A continued on their front-pacing mission, reaching the half in :54.2 and continued to three-quarters in 1:22.1. Into the far turn, No Lou Zing left the pocket, Mack raced in second-over position, and Jack’s Legend N was forced to maneuver four-wide at the top of the stretch. Shoobee Doo A braced for the challenge, but Jack’s Legend N unleashed a ferocious closing kick to win by a head in 1:50.2. Shoobee Doo A finished a game second; Mack (Mike Cole) finished third.

Trainer Josh Green co-owns Jack’s Legend N, who paid $3.00 to win, with Rich Lombardo Racing LLC, David Kryway and Eric Good.

Tim Tetrick and Barton Dalious both won three races.

Dover Downs will be dark from Dec. 17-26. Racing resumes on Dec. 27; post time is 4:30 p.m.
