Lexington, KY — The sale catalog and racelines for the Meadowlands January Select Mixed Sale, presented by Tattersalls, are now available on the company’s website, www.tattersallsredmile.com. For iPad users, the catalog is also on the Equineline® sales catalog app.

Those on the company’s mailing list should receive the printed catalog and racelines later in December.

The sale, to be held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 20, is slated to begin at 11 a.m. in the Meadowlands race paddock. Breeding stock sells first, followed by racehorses.

According to Tattersalls manager David Reid, the sale has become known as “the winter racehorse market,” and this year’s auction should be no exception.

“Due to Thanksgiving falling late on the calendar this year, we extended the entry deadline a week, and I’m glad we did,” Reid said.

“We received some outstanding racehorses up to the last minute, and buyers are going to be very pleased when they see the catalog,” he added.

Highlighting the sale are 2 and 3-year-old classics competitor Wake Up Peter, World Champion mares Frau Blucher and Big McDeal, Metro winner at 2 Simply Business, and recent Meadowlands fast-class winner Appomattox, to mention only a few.

“Just scanning the roster top to bottom, there are many familiar names of top racehorses that you simply won’t miss,” Reid said. “And with mares selling like Windylane Hanover, in foal to Muscle Hill, there’s really something for everyone, both breeders and racehorse owners.”
