Jason ‘Slim’ Moore charity continues

from the USTA Communications Department

Columbus, OH — So far, with the donation of the Tammy Truex sulky ($6,100), Brian Sears’ colors ($810) and whips, bobbleheads, autographed programs, glasses and photos ($5,165), and dinner ($1,200), the Jason ‘Slim’ Moore charity drive has grossed $13,275, with just a few more items to go.

After deducting ebay fees, Pay Pal fees, packaging costs and shipping fees, Moore will receive about $12,100.

There are new whips available, signed by fathers and sons, Eric and Carmine Abbatiello and Mike and Patrick Lachance. An autographed Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup jersey is also for sale. Whips donated by drivers at The Meadows will be on sale next week.

Moore, a Delaware-based horseman who battled and defeated brain cancer, now deals with kidney and liver ailments without health care insurance. He started Koshy’s Kids, a charity that the horse, Kosher King, donates all his earnings to in order to help children with cancer.
