Anthrop would go on to record an owner-trainer double with Norma Rei, who won her second race of the weekend in the nightcap, with Mickey Pryor at the controls. Norma Rei sat a patient trip and unleashed a powerful late kick to roar by the pacesetters for the 1:57.4 win.

Driver Al Eferstein enjoyed his birthday at Bluegrass Downs by scoring a sharp, off the pace win with Alfredo Dream in the opener. The winner is owned and trained by Donna Gilson-Eferstein and recorded his second win of the season in a time of 1:59.2.

Veteran Mickey Hanover continued his comeback for owner-driver Wyatt Avenatti with a sharp 1:58.2 score in the fifth race. David Avenatti trains the winner, who ground out a tough first-over trip to collar the early leaders and then held off late challengers.
