Jim Fry, 66, dies

Columbus, OH — Larry J. “Jim” Fry, 66, of Columbus, Ohio, died April 11, 2011.

Mr. Fry was born in Columbus and grew up in Grove City, the son of W. Beale and Betty Jane Fry. At a young age, he met and later married the love of his life, Nancy, and the two of them went on to share in 46 years of marriage.

He owned and operated Fry’s Equine Insurance Agency for more than 25 years, and was a respected lifelong member of the equestrian community.

Mr. Fry is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Jimilea (Ron) Fry-Jordan and Lori; son, Steven Marshall; grandchildren, Colin Marshall and Benjamin and Sarah Pisaris; parents, W. Beale and Betty Jane; mother-in-law, Letty McGannon; sister, Jeanette (Dave) Spangler; brother-in-law, Michael McGannon; niece, Amber (Jeff) Yors; nephew, Andrew (Jeanette) Michael; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Pastor Tom Thompson will officiate a celebration of Mr. Fry’s life at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, at Riverside United Methodist Church, 2701 Zollinger Road, where the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. A meal will be provided following the service by The Refuge Ministries.
