Columbus, OH — John Chapman Jr. died Dec. 19, 2014, at his home in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Jake, as he was known by friends and family, was a true horseman and a true gentleman.

He is survived by his siblings, Cindy (Peter) Chapman-Koch, Cricket (Kevin) Brennan and Cheryl (Mark) Gacek; and nephews and nieces, Matthew (Josie) Brennan, Kevin Brennan, Patrick Brennan, Daniel Gacek and Jessica Gacek. He was preceded in death by his Hall of Fame father John and his mother Janice.

Services will be held at the Lombardo Funeral Home, Orchard Park, N.Y., on Tuesday (Dec. 23) from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y., or Hospice of Buffalo, N.Y.
