John Dinning dies

from Standardbred Canada

Mississauga, ON — John Howard Dinning died Jan. 29, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Dinning, who was an avid fan of hockey and a long-time trainer of Standardbred horses, will be particularly missed by the horse racing community in southwestern Ontario.

Some of his favorite horses, campaigned by him, were Andiamo Rob, Shesabeast and Hungry Howie. Most recently he was campaigning the pacing mare Whosurbeast.

After retiring from Ford, Mr. Dinning enjoyed spending his time with his horses and his friends in the industry.

Mr. Dinning, who acquired his love of horses from his father, has passed the horse racing passion on to his son, Rob, an active trainer and driver.

Mr. Dinning is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Rob (Pricilla); granddaughters, Taylor and Michelle; father, Howard; mother, Joan; and siblings, Barb, Janet and Andrea. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle.
