Jonathan Ahle wins a pair; Bob Heckoff also victorious in AHDC action at Harrah’s Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – Young Jonathan Ahle won a pair and Bob Hechkoff also scored in American Harness Drivers Club action today (June 12) at Harrah’s Philadelphia. Ahle’s driving double came behind Lionhearted in 1:58.3 and TSM Photo Bugger in 1:56.1 while Hechkoff was victorious with Southwind Frost in 1:58.1.

In the first $9900 event Paul Minore sent Caviar Star to the lead in :28.2 followed closely by Ahle and Lionhearted as the latter showed the way by the quarter in :28.2 They then raced one-two past the half in :59.2. Heading to the three- quarters in 1:28.2 they were joined by Skyway Jaguar (Tony Verruso) and when they rounded the final turn Lionhearted was the strong horse and he joined the others and the three trotters eyed the finish line. In the deep stretch Lionhearted rallied to a neck triumph over Skyway Jaguar in 1:58.3. Caviar Star was a length further back in third.

Terry Morgan owns and trains the winner who paid $6.20 for the win.

In the second AHDC division Ahle left softly from the three-hole with TSM Photo Bugger and allowed Tony Verruso and Drazzmatazz to have the lead and they showed the way by the quarter in :27.3. And they got first call past the half in :57.2.but they braced for TSM Photo Bugger who was first-up and moving forward. They had a length lead when they passed the three-quarters in 1:26.3 and in the lane it was all TSM Photo Bugger and he rallied to a ten length triumph in 1:56.1. Drazzmatass held on for second money and Mosconi Hanover(Dante Scattolini) garnered the show dough.

Karen Fread owns and trains the winner who was sent off as the favorite He paid $4.20.

In his $9900 split Bob Hechkoff got a perfect two-hole journey to the top of the lane with Southwind Frost and they went on to collar the pacesetter, Campbellini (Dante Scattolini) in the final strides and scored a 1-1/4 length victory in 1:58.1. Big Sky Ex finished third for John Calabrese.

Hechkoff’s R.B.H Ventures owns the winner who is trained by Michael Stallworth. He paid $8.20.
