Vernon, NY — Joxter (Dan Daley) captured the $10,000 Open 2/Open 1 Trot at Vernon Downs on Friday (Oct. 21).

Tokyo Seelster went straight to the front and led to the first quarter in :28.  He used a :30 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.  Joxter ($3.60) made his move down the backstretch going first-over from fifth.  Tokyo Seelster led to three-quarters in 1:26.2.

Tokyo Seelster. Joxter took over in deep stretch and had to hold off the late charge of second place finisher, Franks Watching (Ray Fisher Jr.).  Joxter circled the mile in 1:55. Tokyo Seelster finished third.

Joxter is a 4-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven.  He is owned by Ann-Mari Daley and trained by Dan Daley.  It was his eighth win this season and his 18^th career victory.

Daley had a driver-trainer double.  He got his other win with Cocomadaboutyou ($14).  Steeven Genois and Leon Bailey each had driving doubles.

Vernon Downs returns to Live racing on Saturday (Oct. 22) with a 10-race card starting at 6:05 p.m.
