JS Trotting Bob prevailed over a sloppy track (2:00.3) in NYSS for 2-year-old colt trotters on Friday night at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

JS Trotting Bob was acquired by the KJ Stables of Baldwinsville, NY a little over a month ago and has since gone four-for-four after his Friday night romp at the Spa in the $90,863 Sire Stakes race.

Jim Morrill Jr was in town to pilot the freshman trotter for trainer Tracy Brainard and sat patiently in mid-pack before unleashing his attack heading to the three-quarter pole. The race’s 1-9 betting favorite, JS Trotting Bob prevailed in 2:00.3 over an off track that followed a day full of rain. The 2-year-old standout is now seven for eight in his young career and will head into the Night of Champions as the 2-year-old colt to beat.

The other $90,863 Sire Stakes race went to Jim Doherty’s Mister Anson (Conway Hall-Berry Nice Muscles), who benefited from a disqualification of first place finisher Cash Me Out. It was the first career victory for Mister Anson who may have punched his ticket to the Sire Stakes final with the win.
