Juan Fonseca dies

from Freehold Raceway

Freehold, NJ — It is with a heavy heart that we said good-bye to our longtime friend Juan Fonseca. He passed away peacefully at home after a two month battle with cancer on May 10, 2018.

Mr. Fonseca was born in Cuba before immigrating to the United States at the age of 14. He found his life’s passion in working with horses and animals. He worked most of his life as a horse trainer and groom. He traveled the race circuit spending many enjoyable hours with good friends.

His last years were happily spent with his dogs, Little Man and Girl, and the farm animals. He especially enjoyed giving pony rides and seeing the happiness they brought to everyone.

Mr. Fonseca leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving companion, Debbie Molnar and her family; son, Nicholas; daughter, Natasha; as well as many friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
