Dover, DE — Just A Jolt picked up right where he left off on closing day last season by winning the opening day $20,000 Open Pace, overtaking front-pacing Dancin Yankee in deep stretch for a 1:51.1 victory at Dover Downs on Monday (Nov. 2).

Tim Tetrick sat second behind the Jim King trainee and had just enough to rush by Dancin Yankee and Eric Goodell in the final strides for Just A Jolt’s eighth victory of the year, increasing his seasonal earnings to $136,180 for owner Janet Hudson. Special T Rocks was placed third.

The win was the second for owner Hudson, who also made the winner’s circle with Little Ben after a 1:52 score in a $14,000 Winners Over male pace, and the third winner for driver Tetrick and trainer King.

Next, Goodell steered Summer Camp home for trainer Josh Green and owner L&J Racing in 1:52.2 to win a $12,500 male pace.
