Just Like Magic comes first-over, captures top Meadows trot

Washington, PA – Just Like Magic moved steadily first-over and rolled to a comfortable victory in Wednesday’s (Dec. 22) $17,600 Open Trot Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

When Aaron Merriman moved Just Like Magic from fourth, he gobbled up the leader, Threefiftytwo, and scored by half length in 1:54.3. Hashtagmadeyalook shot the Lightning Lane for second while Keystone Chaos rallied for show.

Joelene Christman trains the winner, a 4-year-old Dontyouforgetit-Trainedfordancin gelding who lifted his career bankroll to $113,635, and owns with Mark Christman.

Jeremy Indof and Merriman each collected three wins while 13 different trainers enjoyed a single victory.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 13-race program features a $22,825.61 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
