Hazel Park, MI — The hot hands belonged once again to Kelly Walker as he drove Intell On Broadway to victory in the GLADA race on a sizzling Monday night (July 11) at Hazel Park.

Walker zipped across the finish line in 2:00 to claim first prize, with Our April Love, driven by Stephen Oldford, only a neck behind and Rory Moore, driving his own Perfect Scam, up for third.

Walker is making a fine habit of winning the amateur competition using the good Intell On Broadway for repeated victories.

One scratch, Red Neck Style, left eight amateurs trotting fast out from the gate and settling down to race the first quarter in :28.1 with Our April Love in the lead. S F Fiesta with Jack Pasco at the controls took over second and Intell On Broadway rolled along parked out in third.

The half was clocked at :59.1 with Our April Love still showing the way as the field behind remained the same. Trotting around to the backstretch the field raced on in formation, with Intell On Broadway still taking the outside air in third.

As the stretch opened before the leaders, Intell On Broadway made his move up to second, still racing hard for Walker. Perfect Scam moved up quickly with urging from Moore and the two front chargers raced head to head down the stretch. Our April Love was a neck short for the win after leading the entire race, but Perfect Scam came on for the third place dough.

Hot competition continues to match the steamy July weather on Monday nights at Hazel Park.
