Plainville, MA — At Plainridge Racecourse on May 1, the crowd of bettors stopped to watch the raffle drawing after the seventh race for the five lucky winners of the 13th annual Kentucky Derby Raffle.

The winners in order were:

Grand Prize: Bill Pereira of Plainville, MA-Ticket #14433 ($4,000 betting voucher)

2nd Prize: Charles Edwin Boyd III of Franklin, MA-Ticket #06914 ($1,500 betting voucher)

3rd Prize: Frank Antonacci of Lindy Farms of Conn.-Ticket #15943 ($500 betting voucher)

4th Prize: Heather Tessier of Plainville, MA-Ticket #11537 ($200 betting voucher)

5th Prize: Roger Huston of track announcing fame-Ticket #01491 ($100 betting voucher)

The Derby is this Saturday and there are at least five lucky people looking forward to the “Run for the Roses.”
