Kim Emmerich Green, 65, dies

Columbus, OH — Kim Emmerich Green, 65, of Warwick, N.Y., died at home on Dec. 12, 2012.

Born on Oct. 3, 1947, in Framingham, Mass., she was the daughter of Suzanne Emmerich and the late Leroy Adam Emmerich. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and grandmother. She was known to all of her grandchildren as “Nana.”

Mrs. Green fought a courageous battle against breast cancer for the past 25 years. She was a true inspiration to all who were lucky enough to know her.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, Frank Green, for 46 years. She shared her husband’s passion for sports. For 27 years she supported Washingtonville Wizards football and basketball programs as a fan, statistician and recorded game videos in support of her husband.

For 20 years she worked at the Harness Racing Museum in Goshen, N.Y. She loved her co-workers and enjoyed going to work there every day.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Frank, Jr. (Laura), Carrie (Philip) Rodriguez and Jennifer (Emile) Rodrigue; grandchildren, Felicia, Alexis, Cody and Hunter; and brothers, Blake (Jeffra) Emmerich, Scott Emmerich, Kurt (Karen) Emmerich and Christopher (Ginny) Emmerich.

There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 14) at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
