Kurahaupo Diamond shines in first start

East Rutherford, NJ — Kurahaupo Diamond ($5.40, $3.60, $3.60) drew off to a four length victory to win her first lifetime start on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

The Down Under-bred three-year-old filly, driven by Brian Sears and trained by Ross Croghan, paced the mile in 1:55.2. The Let It Ride Stables Inc. of Delray Beach, Florida owns the In The Pocket filly.

Allamerican Dash ($13.00, $12.00) was second best and it was four and a quarter lengths to Whataride ($6.40) in third.

New Jersey Classic and Miss New Jersey updates

There are no scratches or changes in Saturday’s New Jersey Classic, the seventh race.

There are two driver changes in the Miss New Jersey, the fifth race: Eric Ledford will drive Righteous Renee and Yannick Gingras will drive Vegas Style.
