Ladies continue to shine for Clark at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Trainer Jeff Clark is having a sensational Spring Meet at Rosecroft with his ladies. His mares have now taken the last two Maryland Exclusive Handicaps for mares as Cruzinforavictory rocketed off the final banked turn to catch pacesetter Breadcrumb Income in 1:54 on Wednesday (April 3).

Rosecroft’s leading driver Frank Milby put the daughter of Hypnotic Blue Chip in fourth-over position behind stablemate Gracefullyforgiven (Eddie Davis Jr.) and tipped four-wide and got up by a length. It was the third win of the year for the mare and she joined stablemate Psychic Blue Chip who won last week in taking Rosecroft’s top event for pacing mares.

It was the second of two wins for Milby who started the card with a win in the opener with Brian Callahan’s Fastestgirlaround in 1:55.3. Milby’s spring win total stands at 26.

John Wagner had three wins, bringing his total to 19 for the meet, scoring with trotter Hybrid Henry for owner-trainer Arlene Cameron, who had a training triple on the card. The talented pacing son of Cam’s Rocket won for the 18th time in 48 starts.

Wagner went wire-to-wire in the next race with Scott Woogen’s KJ Allison and took the finale with the classy Big Town Hero. The latter is owned by Allard Racing stable and Yves Sarazin and is trained by Trevor Stafford. It was his 41st lifetime win, but first in two years.

Roger Plante had a double, winning with Kerry Welty’s Dunn Dealin and Irish Izzy for Dr. William J. Solomon and trainer Steve LeBlanc.
