Lady Jeter wins $11,000 Open Trot at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Russell Foster and Lady Jeter took the $11,000 Open Trot on Wednesday night (Feb. 23) at Rosecroft, edging out new rival Judge Bob in 1:56.3.

Jonathan Roberts and Judge Bob left from post seven and after cutting a first half in a tepid :59.1, it appeared as if the reigning Trotter of the Year at Rosecroft was going to add another win to his total. Lady Jeter ($4.80) drafted right behind the leader throughout, and Foster edged up to win in the stretch by a quarter of a length.

Lady Jeter is owned by Zippett Racing Stable and trained by Ed Gannon Jr.

It was one of three wins for Foster as he also guided Sweet N Toxic ($12.80) and Puddin N Pie ($2.60) to wins.

Roberts added four more wins to his meet leading total, two for leading trainer Michael Hall, Menace To Society ($3.00) and Coach Loman ($12.20). Roberts also won with A Lady Sizzling ($8.00) and Thaneeya ($6.40).

Trainer Brian Tomlinson had a double, one of which was driven by Jason Thompson, who returned after being involved in a Sunday night spill. Drivers Eric Davis (broken collarbone) and Jared Moyer (torn rotator cuff) remain out, recovering from their injuries.
