Larry Noggle, 69, dies

Columbus, OH — Larry Keith Noggle, 69, of Fairhope, Ala., died peacefully at home on Aug. 8, 2022, with his wife by his side.

Mr. Noggle was born Nov. 19, 1952, in Spring Valley, Ohio, and is a native of Xenia, Ohio.

He was a member of Cedarville Masonic Lodge 622.

He had a love for horses and raced the fair circuit, winning his first race at the young age of 16. He had a successful harness racing career and was stabled at Red Mile in Lexington, Ky., where he was top driver for several years. One of his most notable moments was in 1987 when he set a world record with champion Indian Alert.

Mr. Noggle retired from racing and moved to Marana, Az., in 1995. He was a general contractor and spent many years building beautiful homes. He enjoyed camping and riding ATV’s.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Dick) and Wanda; and nephew, Josh Merz. He is survived by his spouse of 25 years, Cristina; children, Scott (Stephanie) and Sara; grandchildren, Kaylee, Kendall and Bella Head; sisters, Cheryl (Nolan) Carson and Robyn Calhoun; brother, Kent (Cindy); five nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

The family will gather for a celebration of life on Nov. 19, 2022, at the Sandy Feet Retreat, 16027 Perdido Key Drive, Perdido Key, Fla.
